The wire’s grade (Grade 1, 2, or 3) has a greater impact on electrical performance, with Grade 3 generally providing better insulation and durability than Grades 1 and 2.

Polyamide-imide wires provide the best resistance to transformer oils, styrene, solvents, and other chemicals, making them ideal for demanding environments.

Dual-coat wires have two distinct enamel layers: a base coat of Theic Polyester or Polyesterimide, and a top coat of Polyamide-Imide. This combination offers an economical solution for achieving Thermal Class 200 insulation.

Self-bonding enamelled wires feature a base coat of enamels like Polyurethane or Polyesterimide, topped with a thermoplastic enamel that melts during winding, allowing the turns to bond together and form self-supporting coils.

Self-bonding wires eliminate the need for a core, bobbin, or additional taping and varnishing processes, making them ideal for coils with complex or unconventional configurations.

Bonding methods include solvent bonding, heat bonding, and resistance bonding.
